Sandridge Primary School, Hertfordshire, AL4 9EB

Client: Hertfordshire County Council

This project included the design, supply, delivery, off-loading, erection, installation, connection, testing and commissioning associated with the delivery of a new single-storey classroom building extension, consisting of 2no class bases, WC’s, storage, etc.

The project also included a replacement hard play area and 4no additional car parking spaces at the existing site.

The extension is formed by the provision of 6no steel - framed modular units, with a Kingspan roof and a render finish externally.

We have utilised the use of roof light’s to bring in natural daylight to all areas, operated by Co2 sensors, rain sensors, a traffic light alert system for the teacher and a manual override, thus minimising the necessity for constant artificial lighting.

We have also built a large underground soakage blanket in order to utilise the natural rainfall for the betterment of the local flora and to alleviate the burden on an already oversubscribed storm drain system.
