Extraspace Solutions is proud to announce that we have secured a place on the Southern Modular Building Framework. The Framework has been established to provide Clients with a vehicle capable of providing legally compliant access, to a carefully selected group of Contractors specialising and experienced in the design, construction and installation of modular buildings and their associated infrastructure. The Framework is open to all public bodies in the southern region of England and is aligned to the Southern Construction Framework for major projects in the South East, South West & London.
The Southern Modular Building Framework was actively tendered in Spring 2016. Extraspace Solutions recognised the importance of this framework to our business and developed the bid submission to ensure a position on two lots:
Lot 3: Permanent Buildings of modular construction between £100k - £3m
Lot 4: Permanent Buildings of modular construction over £3m
It is estimated that the 4-year framework will have an overall spend, in the region of £600m.
The framework submission had a very short timeframe and required the response to demonstrate knowledge of construction process, governmental policy issues and latest issues including Government Soft Landing (GSL), Building Information Modelling (BIM) and whole life costing, all within a competitive pricing mode.
As one of the Main Contractors selected, Extraspace Solutions have shown capability in areas such as:
· Design Management and Development
· Project Management
· Financial Control
· Health & Safety
· Handover and Aftercare
Notification was received in June, that we have indeed successfully won places on both Lot 3 and Lot 4, in line with our target.
Paul Tierney, Managing Director at Extraspace Solutions (UK) Ltd commented: “This Framework win was a key target for us. Securing a place on both Lot 3 & Lot 4 is a Testament to the Teams efforts”.
