Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge has been the focus of our attention over the last few weeks as we prepared for the install of 15 new modules and 4 link corridors within the hospital grounds.
The successful install was agreed for mid - August 2014 and is part of a three storey support changing facilities project for two new EVAR theatres within the hospital.
The lift took place last weekend and involved a high degree of logistical movements and planning. The modules were craned into position using a 500 ton crane with a 75m luffer extension lifting over theatres, wards and live hospital buildings into a courtyard area.
The building itself contains changing facilities and plant room space, tying into the existing hospital building on three separate levels.
Appointed as the principal contractor, Extraspace Solutions will now continue their fast track construction process with a target handover date of September 2014.
