Extraspace Solutions have been awarded a contract to design and build a new 4 storey accommodation block at the University of Edinburgh, Kings Building Campus. This project was secured through the Crown Commercial Service Framework Agreement. The new addition to the Kings Building Campus will be named The Mary Brück Building and will be a mixed use facility consisting of ground floor café and social area, group and individual study areas, open study areas to accommodate up to 120 persons, individual study rooms, engineering study facilities administration facilities, research facilities, common rooms, meeting rooms. Toilet and shower facilities will be available on each floor, as well as prayer rooms and kitchen facilities. The building will be serviced by 3 separate staircases and a passenger lift to all floors. Externally, the building will be clad with Kingspan micro mini panels in contrasting colours, a curtain walling façade to the front elevation and independent Brise Soleil with a cedar fin finish.
