On Monday 16th June 2014, Extraspace Solutions visited Dorchester Primary School in Surrey, to host an assembly for over 300 eager children, to educate them about the world of modular construction.
Extraspace Solutions Manager, Steve Daniels, led the presentation with the help of his very special guest, Ivor Goodsite. They kept the children interested by holding an interactive assembly, where the children could engage by asking and answering questions throughout the morning. The children were as good as gold as they listened carefully and watched the colourful presentation unfold.
As well as sharing some laughs, Ivor Goodsite and the Extraspace Solutions Team talked about the new school extension and spread important health & safety messages about the dangerous nature of work that takes place on building sites. Work continued on the new build adjacent to the school as the presentation progressed, and the children were delighted to hear about what to expect within their new building extension in a few months time.
Ivor Goodsite was overwhelmed with the welcoming response he received from the staff and children in the school and his artistic flair surfaced as he judged the construction site colouring competitions. Ivor was the star of some photos during the presentation, before he bid farewell to his new friends in Dorchester Primary School and returned to work on Site.
The day was a great success and we would like to say a huge thank you to the staff and children of Dorchester Primary School for the friendly, warm welcome they extended to the Extraspace Solutions Team. We would also like to thank Ivor Goodsite for taking time out of his busy schedule to come along and meet all the children in the School.
